Signed of Budget by Acting President Professor Yemi Osinbajo.

Nigeria's acting president, Yemi Osinbajo, on Monday signed the 2017 budget into law, which plans a record spending to pull Africa's biggest economy out of recession.  Speaking after signing the budget, Osinbajo said: "I noted that our path to progress & abundance is clear. The tools are in place & the resilient resourceful & hardworking Nigerian people are set to go. I have no doubt that by the grace of God, the bleakness of recession is about to witness the uplifting dawn of abundance. "This budget is a budget of economic recovery and growth. It is designed to bring Nigeria out of recession," Osinbajo said after the signing. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

MAPC BoT member drowns in Abuja flood OLUBODE OLUSESAN 16 JUNE 2017 A member of the Board of Trustees of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Olisaemeka Akamukalem, has drowned in a flood in Abuja. Akamukalem, who hailed from Delta State, died on Tuesday in Gwarinpa, Abuja, after a torrential downpour swept away his car. He was aged 57. His remains had been recovered and deposited at the Kubwa General Hospital morgue. The APC expressed shock over Akamukalem’s death, describing him as one of its respected leaders.
